Anthracite washed coal is the clean-burning fuelcoal-rock

Made in America

All of the anthracite used in the U.S. is produced domestically by American workers, mostly in Northeastern Pennsylvania. There are over seven billion tons of anthracite available for mining. It is a solidly proven fuel that can be shipped anywhere in North America. And, unlike oil and gas, its availability and pricing are not subject to international politics.

Anthracite is Cost-Efficient

Anthracite can cut your home and business heating bills in half! Anthracite’s price per million BTUs (British Thermal Units, a standard measure of heat) is lower than gas and all other supplemental heating fuels, including wood pellets, cord wood, oil, and electricity.

Anthracite is Comfortable

Anthracite is the steadiest, warmest, and most comfortable heat source available because of its even heat flow and high BTU-levels.

Anthracite is Convenient

Burning modern anthracite is NOT dirty or difficult, like coal burning used to be. The contemporary furnaces use feeding and ash-removal systems, allowing you to maintain them effortlessly. Anthracite comes in 40 pound bags, allowing you to move it easily. It can also be purchased by the ton or pallet.

Anthracite burns longer than cord wood. Unlike a wood stove, which needs to be refilled every 6 to 12 hours, anthracite stoves heat evenly without tending for up to 36 hours.

Anthracite is Safe

Chimney fires don’t happen with anthracite because it doesn’t cause creosote build-up. With proper installation, anthracite is the safest fuel.

Anthracite is good for the environment

  • Antrhacite is low-sulfur and carbon dioxide, making it cleaner than electricity, which is primarily generated by high-sulfur coal burning.
  • Antrhacite produces virtually no smoke.
  • Antrhacite is mined from previously damaged land, and sites are restored with new grass and trees.
  • The coal that has been mined is used, regardless of size.
  • Processing waste is burned in cogeneration facilities.
  • Natural anthracite ash is pure, and you can use it to aerate soil and prevent skids on icy roads.
